EFESME, together with its members and experts, carries out a wide range of activities in support of lift SMEs, and not only from a technical-normative point of view. The areas in which EFESME is currently involved concerns the support and promotion of SMEs in the technical-normative field, digitalisation and cybersecurity in lift systems, as well as the constant commitment to develop standards and norms that are SME friendly, and to encourage an increasing participation of SMEs in standardisation and policy-making processes.
Representation
Installers, contractors, maintenance companies, manufacturers and component producers. EFESME counts on 15 national associations representing 13 countries. EFESME represents 1,500 companies employing over 65,000 workers.

Technical Committee: CEN TC10 - Lift, escalators and moving walks issues; ISO TC178 - Lift, escalators and moving walks issues; Political Committee (Commission Expert Group on Lifts, Commission Expert Group on Machinery, Notified Bodies for Lifts)
Responsibilities
The Federation's main aim is to represent and to safeguard the interests of European SMEs of the lift sector vis-à-vis the political, legislative and normative institutions within the European Union.
