CECAF was constituted on September 18, 1987 with the object of maximizing the efforts of the member maintenance companies to upgrade their activity and to obtain better and fairer regulations. The association has permanent representatives in the Federacion de Asociaciones y Camaras de Ascensores de la Republica Argentina (FARA) and in the Mercosur Standardization Committee.

This association represents the interests of companies dedicated to elevator maintenance, repair and modernization that are headquartered in Buenos Aires city and in the Greater Buenos Aires area.
